Ofsted quote: “The Humanities subjects are a particular strength of the school with consistently good progress throughout.”
In Humanities we study people – as individuals, groups, communities and societies. We study them in different places and in different times. Our work covers not only the National Curriculum subjects of geography and history, but also religious education. In all three subjects children are encouraged to use a variety of methods of presentation, both oral and written. The work is supported by a wide variety of resources including local visits and trips to places of geographical and historical interest.
All pupils are taught History, Geography and Religious Education separately throughout the year.
