GCSE Intervention

For Year 11 Parents/Carers

We will begin the first cycle of our GCSE Intervention for Year 11 students in the next half-term – starting the week commencing 23rd October 2017.

Letters will be given to the students before the end of the week. If your child has been identified as requiring intervention in certain subjects, they will have been given a letter specific to them. This could be because they have yet to produce work in class, in tests, or in coursework, that is on track for their target grade and they need that extra input. It does not necessarily mean that your child is not committed fully to their GCSEs, just that they need an additional push in the right direction towards achieving their potential.

If you do not get the details/letter, it could be that they have not been selected for individual/specific support – please email Miss Sharon Eales (seales@wigstonmat.org) if in any doubt.

There will also be general revision/drop-in sessions for any Year 11 student to attend in English (Tuesdays), Science (Wednesdays) and Mathematics (Thursdays).

We look forward to your continuing support.

Please read the important information on the school website or Facebook regarding the intervention work that will be starting in Year 11 next term.
