DRAMA

Year 7, 8 and 9 students attend two drama lessons per cycle and have the opportunity to explore a wide range of drama skills including vocal skills, physical theatre, characterisation, mime and movement.  Students explore a wide range of topics and also use plays as a stimulus.

Drama is a life skill and a creative art form. In lessons pupils can express and manage their thoughts and feelings through working in a controlled environment. The development of these skills encourages confidence and self awareness. It allows individuals to grow within a group context: ideas are negotiated, problems that are encountered are solved and decisions are made with others.

We offer extra curricular opportunities within the campus including; participating in the musical (Both on and off stage) Lunch time drama clubs, theatre visits and workshops.
