FRENCH

Staff  have high expectations and set challenging targets. We aim to instil confidence and competence and strive to make learning enjoyable.

Children learn at different rates and so we set the children according to their ability. We assess throughout the year both informally and formally in end of term tests. Sets are then adjusted to make sure that students are matched up with similar learners.

Our open door policy means that there are always teachers available to recap, help and advise. Our lunchtime clubs offer catch up opportunities plus extension activities.

The Learning Map has been designed to embed the full range of GCSE skills at KS3, as well as promote a passion and love for Languages. We aim for students to speak, read, listen and write with enthusiasm and confidence whilst ensuring they are fully prepared for the challenges of GCSE.
