Supported Learning is a non-examination option which we offer to those students who we feel would benefit from extra time to help them improve performances across the curriculum and further develop study skills. The lessons are taught in small groups in a less pressurised environment than the usual classroom.
Supported Learning should not be considered an easy option. Students are expected to organise themselves to bring all relevant work (e.g. homework, revision, course work) to each session and be committed to using the time fully and sensibly to complete work of the highest standard in all areas.
Students supported in your efforts to complete and improve work from all areas of the curriculum.
This option would is recommended to individuals by the SEN team. Students will have access to experienced teachers and support staff who can spend time offering explanations and advice on how to produce and present work to the best of their ability.
