Wigston Academy adopts a proactive approach when it comes to promoting eSafety. Every child completes an e-safety module in their ICT lessons and then have a further eSafety input in PSHCE lessons and assemblies during Internet Safety Week. We also have a number of eSafety posters up in every ICT room that provide helpful advice to children.

Children are encouraged to come forward if they see anything on the internet that is suspicious, if they are a victim of cyber bullying or if they have a question about using the internet.

Within school, all internet usage is filtered and monitored in accordance with relevant safeguarding policies.
